Salam 1Malaysia to all!

Yesterday early in the morning (circa 3am) there was an incident took place at my house in lorong 32F where a pair of thieves attempted to steal our car.

Based on reliable sources, this is what transpired:-

i. Around 3am, unidentified car (believed to be a Honda Civic) found their way into NusaRhu.

ii. The car stopped in front of my house (No.7). One crook disembarked and picked his target (Toyota Rush). Crook tried to disarm car security while sidekick waited inside their car (I parked the Toyota outside the porch with engine hood closely fronting gate).

iii. Car alarm activated. Neighbor next door curious and went out to investigate. Crooks caught by surprised and quickly fled with their car. Neighbor tried to alert owner but no one answer door bell (sleeping).

iv. Within minutes after neighbor retreated from scene, same crooks came back discreetly for second attempt. Neighbor spotted them again from master bedroom. Neighbor call police SPK Setia. Crooks became aware and fled for good.

v. Around 3:30am police came along with security committee (Mr. Fuzan). Neighbor told police what happened. Again they tried to alert owner but not successful.

vi. According to police, car theft of similar model and make was reported a day earlier in Subang Permai. Officer mentioned about Honda being spotted as well.

A quick check with our home guard reveals that there was no register of vehicle passing through between 3am to 3:30am other than the police (?). I plan to make a police report if it is admissible to let them aware about this treat to our neighborhood.

I have inspected my car to see what have been tapered; I guess they don't get enough time to do much damage. One thing for sure the padlock for our gate went missing and the gate shackles slightly disintegrated. Probably they need to open the gate for more space in front of the hood in order to tackle security system.

I had taken extra precautionary measures to prevent this from happening in the future. Hope this can serves as a timely reminder to others as well. These crooks may appear to be targeting specific model and make of vehicle, but in its absence anything else might do.
